Welcome to the new EAA Chapter 414 web site! Here we hope to provide a clear picture of who we are and what we do. Our main purpose is to support sport aviation activities. We have many members actively flying and/or building experimental homebuilt aircraft of so many types and styles that they would be too numerous to mention here. Our approx. 80 members are mainly located in Northern Illinois, although some are scattered as far as Florida and California, yet they maintain their chapter membership. We are active is youth activities, such as the EAA Young Eagles program. Some of our members have flown more than 300 young people, giving them their first flight in a small aircraft. From these beginnings, new pilots will someday emerge to fly their own Young Eagles perhaps. This web page will proceed slowly, but we hope to make it worthwhile for all visitors. Please feel free to drop me a line. If you're interested in joining an EAA Chapter, either ours or any of the hundreds of others, contact me at EAA Chapter 414 Headquarters or check out the EAA Headquarters website. Thank you for stopping by! - Jim Hull, President, EAA Chapter 414 |
