Yes, it's that time of year again when we all meet up at Ed Simpson's beautiful Camp Lake Airport to eat, talk airplanes, fly airplanes, eat, win prizes, fly young eagles, eat, socialize, and maybe eat a bite or two.

For Saturday, we ask that everyone bring a meat dish to cook on the grill, a dish to pass (potato salad, beans, salad, fruit, any favorite) and a small lunch to tide you over until we get the grill going. Be sure to also bring a small table and chairs if you like to sit while you eat. Soda pop will be provided, iced to cool perfection. Also, be sure to bring your favorite dessert to be judged in the Eighth Annual Dessert Contest! The judges will personally see to it that each and every entry is judged fairly... and fairly often.

Stay overnight and camp out under the stars or under a wing. Can't make it on Saturday? Then come on out Sunday and delight in leftovers and Hangar Talk!

EAA Chapters 414 and 217 invite one and all to Please come and enjoy EAA fellowship at it's finest.

VOLUNTEERS! VOLUNTEERS!
Big Cleanup Day Saturday Aug 31st

Ed is devoting the entire week prior to the picnic to spiff up the airport with a BIG START on SATURDAY Sept 1st. If you can help out, it sure would be appreciated. We have a long list of chores and a short list of folks to do 'em. Earn the admiration and respect of your fellow Chapter members by volunteering your spare time. Get that feeling of fulfillment from a job well done. Spend quality time with Ed!

Cleaning, painting, trimming - the possibilities are endless. Call Ed Simpson at the airport, 262-889-8187, to see how you can help.

As you know, great airports do not grow on trees. Somebody has to mow and trim those beautiful grass roots!
